Reeling in the Years

This December we put on a show called Reeling in the Years.  All classes performed twice – a day time show and an evening show. 3rd to  6th classes had their day and evening performances on the 14th December.    Junior Infants to  2nd classes put on their day and evening performances on the 15th December. It was an amazing week, with great excitement.

Review of the school’s Anti-Bullying Policy

In accordance with section 7.2 of the Anti-Bullying Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools, the Board of Management has carried out its annual review of the school’s policy.  


NKETNS invited to apply for European Active School Award

North Kildare ETNS received its first Active School Flag this year and got further good news on the last day of term. We have been nominated by the Irish Active School Flag Programme to go forward and apply for the European BeActive Education Award. Grandparents’ Day 2017!

As always, NKETNS Grandparents’ Day was a huge success, with a great turnout! Grandparents from our School Community visited classes, discussed their own childhoods with the students and enjoyed performances from all the classes in the school hall! A big thank you to all the Grandparents who visited the school, and to the SRG for the great work they did in organising the event!

Proclamation Day 2016!

Along with every school in the country, NKETNS took part in Proclamation Day on the 15th March, as the school gathered to raise the Tricolor and to listen to the proclamation being read aloud by members of the staff. Minister’s Visit – Practical Arrangements

The following arrangments have been put in place for the visit of the Minister for Education and Skills to open the school extension on Thursday 7th May: Junior and Senior Infants are to be collected at 1.45pm instead of the normal time of 1.20pm and they are to be collected from the Junior Yard and not the front entrance.
